Barcelona International Airport (BCN) is located 12 Kilometres south east of the city centre. It is a modern airport containing 3 terminals - A, B and C. After leaving your plane, you pass through the usual passport check and then bagage claim. Finally, after passing through customs you will arrive in the main airport foyer, where you can pick your transport to the city centre. |

Taxi is without doubt the fastest way to leave Barcelona Airport but not necessarily the fastest way to get to your destination. Barcelona, is a big modern city and has so much traffic that it can sometimes delay your journey. Walk out of any of the airport exits and there is always a long queue of taxis waiting to take you to your final destination. Prices depend on the time of day, but expect to pay roughly €20 for a one way trip to the city centre. |

The Aerobus is a bus service running every 12 minutes from outside the terminals to the city centre. The journey takes about 30 minutes and the coaches are modern. Buy a ticket on the bus, tickets cost around €4 per person. Coaches run from 6.30am to midnight and drop off at the Plaça de Catalunya (right in the city centre and adjacent to a metro station). |

The aiport also boasts a rail link to the city centre. Modern trains run every 30 minutes, with a 25 minute journey time and has the advantage that the train will not get stuck in traffic. The station is located via an aerial walkway located in terminal A (lifts available). Tickets cost around €2 per person (sometimes the journey is even free, but you must still be handed a ticket). Trains run from 6am until 11pm. |
