Introduction

Metro Map

Barcelona's Metro is very similar to other metro systems around the world. It consists of a total of 11 lines and 209 stations, serving all the major areas of the city. To travel on the metro you need to know the name of the station at the end of the line in the direction you are travelling.

Tickets are purchased from automatic machines (with instructions in English), and the most efficient ticket is a T10, giving you 10 trips for less than €10. The Metro runs from 5am to Midnight (24 hours on a Saturday).
